The Pink City, Jaipur is anyway a
beautiful place to visit or live. It's a problem of plenty when things just
keep getting better. Take the City Palace here for example which not only
looks massive, but actually occupies approximately 14 % area of the City Palace Jaipur Tour. The architectural style of the building is mixed and is a blend of
Rajasthan and Mughal architecture.
The construction was started by Maharaja
Jai Singh II of Kachhwaha clan of Rajputs. He built the outer walls of the
City Palace. The palace has become as grand as it is now because of the
additions by the subsequent rulers over the years City Palace Jaipur Tour.
The structures inside the palace are
segregated into various parts such as series of courtyards, gardens and
buildings and the notable structures among them are Chandra Mahal, Mubarak
Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. As you get into
the first courtyard, you see the Mubarak Mahal which houses the textile
portion of the museum situated in the City Palace. Initially it was meant to
be a reception centre for the visiting guests. The Chandra Mahal is the
present residence of present Maharaja of Jaipur, Bhawani Singh and this
building provides a fine view of the gardens and the city. This palace has
all the fine paintings, mirror work and traditional ceilings that befits a
palace of this stature. Badal Mahal and Hawa Mahal are other notable
attractions that are unique in their own right. Here only those buildings
are open to the public that are around the Chandra Mahal.
