Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai

Day 02 : Mumbai sightseeing
Architecture Tour in India, Gateway of IndiaBreakfast will be in the hotel and later our tour guide will take you to the tour of Mumbai city. In the morning visit Elephanta Island by motor launch (Located 10 kms away from Mumbai land, the Elephanta Island Caves consist of temples carved from rock which date back to the 7th century) Visit Gateway of India (This symbolic national landmark, the Marble arch of India, designed by George Wittet to commemorate the visit of George V and Queen Mary in 1911), Princess of Wales Museum (This museum has a priceless collection of art, sculpture, china and other antics. Day 03 : Mumbai - Hyderabad by flight
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Hyderabad (Hyderabad is an important centre of Islamic culture, was the seat of the legendary Nizams of Hyderabad, rulers of one of the largest native states in India). In Hyderabad transfer to your hotel for check in. Afternoon sightseeing of the city visiting High Court Building (built in solid pink granite. It is a very impressive building in Mughal - Saracenic style, enriched with panels of bas-relief decoration carved in red Agra sandstone), Char Minar (186 feet high and 100 feet wide on each frontage this is a masterpiece of the Qutb Shahi dynasty and was intended to mark the centre of the city), Mecca Masjid (One of the largest mosques in the country. Day 04 : Excursion to Golkonda Fort
India Architecture Tour Package, Today after breakfast our tour guide will take you on an excursion to Golkonda Fort (Golconda was the centre of a rich and powerful state formed on the disintegration of the Bahmani kingdom in the early 16th century. It is of outstanding interest for both its fort and the royal tombs, which represents the third and final phase of the Deccan style of Islamic architecture. The Fort lies about 8.5 kilometres west of Hyderabad on an isolated granite hill. The Royal Tombs of Golconda contain the entire dynasty with the exception of two who died in exile. They form a fascinating collection of Islamic funerary architecture. On selected evenings, Golconda Fort has interesting attraction in the form of Sound & Light Show which is available for the visitors at extra charges mainly during the winter season). Day 05 : Hyderabad - Chennai by flight
Architecture Tour in India, After breakfast we transfer you to the airport to board flight to Chennai (Madras). In Chennai transfer to your hotel. Later half day tour of the city with our guide visiting Saint Mary's Church (The spiritual and physical centre of the original settlement and the oldest surviving building in the East associated with the Anglican church), St. George Fort (Built in 1644 the fort lies on the sea shore immediately north of the island. Day 06 : Excursion to Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram
This morning our guide will take you to a day trip to Mahabalipuram (The rock-cut and monolithic temples at Mahabalipuram are the earliest temples of monumental architecture in Southern India. Most of the cave temples are excavated into the sides of a granite hill, only a short distance from the sea. Shore temple at Mahabalipuram is the first significant structural temple of the Pallava period dating back to the 8th century) and Kanchipuram (Examples of Hindu temple architecture spanning almost a thousand years are preserved at Kanchipuram). Evening back to Chennai for night stay in your hotel.
Day 07 : Chennai - Bangalore by flight
After breakfast we take you to the airport to board flight to Bangalore. Uopn arrival check into the hotel. Later sightseeing of Bangalore city with our guide visiting Lal Bagh botanical garden, Vidhan Sabha (A huge neo-Dravidian granite building which houses the secretariat and the state legislative. It is one of the most impressive modern buildings in India) and Bull Temple. Night stay in your hotel
Day 08 : Bangalore - Belur - Helebid - Mysore
After breakfast we drive to Mysore for a night trip. On the way we visit Chennakeshava temple at Belur (Entirely built of grey-green chloride, Chennakeshava temple is one of the early masterpieces of the Hoysala period) and Hoysaleshvara temple at Helebid (Representing the Hoysala style, Hoysaleshvara temple is renowned for its architecturally and artistically). Proceed to Mysore and check into the hotel for night stay.
Day 09 : Mysore - Bangalore drive and Bangalore - Ahmedabad by flight
After breakfast sightseeing of Mysore (Once the capital of Wodeyar kingdom, Mysore is a blend of palaces, temples and gardens and still known as one of the finest cities of southern India) visit Art Gallery, Chamundi Hill and Nandi Bull. Later drive back to Bangalore airport via Srirangapatanam Fort (Srirangapatanam is renowned as the capital of Mysore Rulers - Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan and also known for the bloody struggles against the British in the late 18th century). In Bangalore direct transfer to the airport to board flight to Ahmedabad. Transfer and night stay at Ahmedabad.
Day 10 : Ahmedabad
After breakfast our tour guide will take you for a tour of Ahmedabad city which was founded in 1411 by Ahmed Shah, Ahmedabad in Gujarat is today known for its fine Islamic monuments with their Indo - Sarcenic styles of architecture. The tour will include a visit to Jami Mosque, (The mosque lies in the center of the city and most of the part of the mosque was destroyed in 1819 due to earth quake), Shaking minarets (Opposite the large gate of Sarangpur Darwaja, Sidi Bashir's minars are all that remain of the mosque popularly named after one of Ahmed Shah's favourite slaves.), Gandhi Ashram (Gandhiji's Sabarmati Ashram displays the Mahatma's letters and possessions, along with a powerful collection of photographs of his years of fighting for freedom) and Museum of Textiles (The museum has the finest collection of textiles, clothes, furniture, temple artifacts and crafts in the country). Day 11 : Ahmedabad - Udaipur
After breakfast we drive to the romantic city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Day 13 : Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast we start the tour with an excursion to Amer Fort (Situated atop the Aravali hills Amer is the ancient capital of Jaipur and a magnificent example of Rajput architecture). We ascend to the fort on Elephant's back. Later we also visit the Jaigarh Fort where the largest canon of the world is in display for the visitors. In the afternoon visit Hawa Mahal- Palace of Winds (This five storied building which looks out over the main street of the old city is one of Jaipur's major landmarks. This is a stunning example of the Rajput artistry with it's pink, semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed sand stone windows. Originally Hawa Mahal was built to enable the ladies of the royal families to watch the everyday life and processions of the city), Jantar Mantar - The Observatory (The Observatory, built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728. It is an excellent example of the marvelous precision wherein each construction has a specific purpose to measure the position of stars, altitudes and azimuths or calculating eclipses. The most striking instrument is the Sun Dial which is 90 feet high) and City Palace Museum (City Palace is delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture. Day 14 : Jaipur - Agra
Breakfast in the hotel and then drive to Agra (Agra attained its magnificence under the Emperor Akbar The Great. Once the capital of Mughal India, it is famous for the world renowned Taj Mahal). Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri (This magnificent fortified ghost city was the capital of Mughal empire between 1571 and 1585, during the reign of Emperor Akbar. It was built by the emperor to commemorate the birth of his son Jahangir. Fatehpur Sikri was thereafter quickly abandoned, but till date it remains a perfectly preserved example of Mughal architecture.). Later proceed to Agra and check into the hotel. Afternoon visit Taj Mahal which is perhaps the most beautiful monument ever built in the history of love. Also visit the Agra Fort (In Akbar's time the fort was principally a military structure but by Shah Jahan's time it had partially become a palace. This fort serves as vantage location to have the fabulous glimpse of The Taj Mahal.). Night stay in your hotel at Agra.
Day 15 : Agra - Gwalior (120 kms)
After breakfast we transfer you to the railway station to board an Express train to Jhansi. Arrive Jhansi and meet with our representative for transfer to Khajuraho ex Orchha Fort (Orchha a small village has its important due to the Fort and Temples. It is an architectural conception of unusual vigour and intricate sophistication). Check into the hotel at Khajuraho in the afternoon and later visit the temples of Khajuraho (The Khajuraho temples are famous not only for their symmetry and design but also for intricate and erotic carvings on their walls). Day 16 : Khajuraho - Jhansi - Delhi by Express Train journey
After breakfast visit the other parts of Khajuraho temples (The temples are divided into three main geographical groups viz. the Western, Eastern and Southern). Later drive to Jhansi railway station to board train to Delhi. Arrive Delhi late evening and you will be then transferred to your hotel for night stay.
Day 17 : Delhi sightseeing
After breakfast a full day guided tour of Old and New Delhi (Delhi, the capital of India comprises of conspicuously contrasting Old and New Delhi. This type of garden is known as a charbagh and is based on a grid), Safdarjung's Tomb (Representing the last phase of the Mughal style of architecture, Safdarjang's Tomb stands in the centre of an extensive garden), Qutab Minar (73 meters high which tapers from a 15 m diameter base to just 2.5 m at the top. The walls consist intricately carved quotations from Koran and is one of the most perfect towers of the Persian world) Drive through India Gate (The war memorial) and President's Palace. Day 18 : Leave Delhi
